Next year, I’ll be finishing up a book called Tangled Chains. The stories will be about women of different ethnicities, from different countries, who come together and become friends. So, I’ve started having chats with women from around the world, to get you, as a reader, ready for this fantastic upcoming book. Let’s start with Zuzana, from Brno – population 400,000, in the Czech Republic.
Me: Hi Zuzana. Chatting with you has become such a pleasure. So now I know the capitol of the Czech Republic is Prague, population 1.3 million and your town is Brno, population 400,000. Sounds like a quaint place to live. Can you tell me some of your future goals? Zuzana: I’ve studied, I’ve held down jobs, and I’ve studied some more. And in between times—I’ve traveled. Of all of the studies I’ve done, my favorite is Sinology, which is the study of Chinese, especially their language, literature, history, and culture. Me: Does that mean a trip to China eventually? Zuzana: Probably, but I really want to become a consultant and work for myself. My idea would be to improve business relationships between employers and employees. Take care of the work environment. Keep everyone happy. Me: I see some papers on the wall behind you. Are they post-it notes? Zuzana: They are quotes in different languages. I also love writing diaries when I have something on my mind. My friends teach me a lot and different cultures have a big impact of what I learn about life’s experiences. A favorite saying of mine is “I want a one-way ticket to anywhere.” That’s how much I love other cultures. And I might add here—that for me—communication is the key to everything. Me: We’ll keep this interview short this time. But we’ll catch up to you at a later date to see where you’re at and what you’re doing. Hugs to you and yours, dear heart. My question for anyone who reads this is: A couple of weeks ago, I posted three things that Zuzana might prepare for dinner. I have four gift cards from Starbucks, for anyone in the US, to tell me just one of those things. No strings attached. Hint. You could look on my Instagram or Facebook for that answer and the first four who answer correctly, will be the winners. Post your answer to the comment section on my website at: https://ckalber.com/blog.html/ Happy searching. Interview with Zuzana coming soon.
